Giannandrea is recognized as one of the most respected hairstylists in the industry, his styles never fail to spark considerable interest in the international beauty media. His talent for creating individual styles has been refined during a career mainly focused on the artistic research.

He found his calling in hairstyling at the age of 16 in the Italian town of Bologna, inspired by the new revolutionary fashion trends that in the 90’s were sweeping across all of Europe from the UK and Belgium.

His natural talent and youthful enthusiasm, nurtured in early years of unrestricted creative freedom, found perfect ground in this new fashion movement that propelled him towards a career of artistry fueled by a true passion for the hair craft.

Giannandrea began by collaborating with leading fashion hair & makeup agencies in Milan. He started to shoot fashion editorials for major Italian magazines such as Elle, Glamour and Marie Claire, traveling to NYC and Paris to work on some of the most magnificent fashion shows, collaborating with prominent hairstylists of that era.

From these early experiences he soon realized that fashion freelancing was his love & future. In order to fully immerse himself in the art of fashion hairstyling, Giannandrea relocated to New York City in 1996. He joined the agency of legendary Master hairstylist Garren, who became a real mentor for him.

During the course of the following 6 years Giannandrea collaborated closely with Garren on some of the world most distinguished magazines like American & Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar US and multiple advertising campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Prada, Valentino and Pantene.

Under his iconic influence he was exposed to the exceptional talents of the very top Fashion Designers, Magazine Editors, Makeup Artists, Art Directors and the world leading Fashion Photographers.

Giannandrea continued to absorb eclectically to cultivate his artistic and technical skills, finally acquiring a true artistic independence. His personal career stared to flourish, quickly establishing him as one of the industry’s rising stars.

For the past 20 years his ability to combine classic styling with modern trends has made him the hairstylist of choice for many international advertising campaigns such as Ralph Lauren, Polo, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Cover Girl, Armani, Victoria’s Secret, Hugo Boss & Pantene to name a few. His work has been featured in publications mostly in the USA and UK such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Elle. He has worked with iconic photographers, Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Klein, David Bailey, Jurgen Teller and many more

Giannandrea’s innovative artistic vision, versatility and cheerful personality have established him as a seasoned accomplished hair talent for editorial work and red-carpet events. His expert eye for fashion and his skills in creating looks that enhance and amplify have made him very much in demand from many leading Hollywood stars.

His impressive “A list” celebrity clients, includes Drew Barrymore, Christina Aguilera, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway and Mariah Carey, for awards such as the Oscars, Golden Globes, the Grammy’s, Tony’s, International events such as the Cannes Film Festival, Venice FF, BAFTAS & TIFF.

In 2015 Giannandrea received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding hairstyling of his work with Christina Aguilera for the hit TV show “NBC The Voice”.

In 2017 Giannandrea Won the “Hollywood Beauty Awards”.
